Slightly nuts, sometimes weird, but mostly awesome.

"...that swimming, sloping, elusive something about the dark-bluish tint of the iris which seemed still to retain the shadows it had absorbed of ancient, fabulous forests where there were more birds than tigers and more fruit than thorns, and where, in some dappled depth, man's mind had been born..."
— Vladimir Nabokov

There is always more mystery.

I started reading “Love is a Mixtape” today. I will be finished before I go to sleep.

The number five made an appearance in my dream last night among other strange things. According to my dream dictionary the number five represents the human body; human consciousness in the body; the hand; unification because the number five unites all previous numbers 1+4 and 2+3; the five senses.

“The name leprechaun is derived from the old Irish word luchorpan which means "little body."A leprechaun is an Irish fairy taking the appearance of a miniature old man, about 2 feet tall. They are known to live in remote places.

Leprechauns are solitary creatures and spend their time making shoes and brogues. If you hear the sound of his hammer when he is at work you know you have found him. All leprechauns possesses a hidden crock of gold. If you are fortunate enough to capture a leprechaun he might reveal the location of his gold,  to escape. But, keep your eye on the leprechaun. If you look away, just for a moment, he will vanish.”

Nerdgasm: getting overly excited about things considered “nerdy”. When someone has experienced just too much nerdiness at one time, they are said to have a nerdgasm.

Wouldn’t it be fun while you’re in a waiting room to bury all the pens and pencils in the potted plants? I think it would give me silent satisfaction.

"To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget."
— Arundhati Roy

Somehow my mind manages to write its own script, and everyone else refuses to follow it.

How do you organize your head enough to even make a list of things you want to do before you die? Nothing I want to do stays static. I tend to get passionate about something for a period of time and then I just abandon it along my road of life without a second glance. I would have to update my list every week or so to accommodate the new things I want to do and get rid of all the stuff I no longer am interested in. And we all know I would get too distracted to update said list.
~
Im going to drink coffee and read. So I can cross that off my list again and again and again.

Fainting goat?

Or maybe it's all just coincidence.  I think it's a braided pathway of destiny that constantly changes based on zillions of outside influences but paths are laid and not taken and new ones are laid instead and sometimes, those paths intersect based on some synchronicity that almost feels like a wish or fate but maybe it's just paths that can't help but eventually cross one day.  So I magnetically attract to what I want and vice versa, sometimes I don't think it's conscious at all.  Just a subconscious fate pre-ordained by thousands of years of breeding and stories.

"One day, you're in a physical landscape you share with this bizarre and fundamentally alien creature, not alien because she's female but alien because you're a fool in love and there's nothing not alien about that…I missed the feminine touch—not just hers, but mine. I missed being half-boy, half-girl, part of a whole. Now that I was male in a male environment, it was harder to manifest her physical chick presence, no matter how many of her MAC lipsticks I set out on the coffee table in a basket like so many M&Ms."

Student: “I’m gonna walk behind you.”
Me: “Why?”
Student: “Because I’m a hologram.”

Who is credited for introducing the word ‘nerd’ into English? Dr. Suess…yeah that’s right!

In my dream I was also running through a forest in order to get back to my car. Forests represent natural feelings; the self you are underneath; the magical world of the unconscious, full as it is of strange forces, primeval creatures, and miraculous people.

Life is too ironic to fully understand. It takes sadness to know what happiness is. Noise to appreciate silence. And absence to value presence.

Do you often get your common idioms confused? It happens to me more often than I would like to admit. Like once I typed about birds chirping when I really meant crickets, or typed “duel” instead of “double” in the phrase “double edged sword”.

Ive been beginning to think of what kind of show I’d put on if I was a stripper.
~
My first song would be The Who's "Won't be Fooled Again". I would come out as the Hazmat Lady and instead of disrobing, I would put on a pair of industrial rubber gloves and a multi purpose respirator. First I would swab the pole for samples. Then for my finale, I would scrub the stage continuously and barrier the area with yellow hazard tape.
 ~
That’s as far as I’ve gotten so far. To be continued.

"The same chemicals were used in the cooking as were used on the composition of her own being: only those which caused the most violent reaction, contradiction, and teasing, the refusal to answer questions but the love of putting them, and all the strong spices of human relationship which bore a relation to black pepper, paprika, soybean sauce, ketchup and red peppers."
— Anaïs Nin
